Do You Need a Smog Check? Posted on Oct 10 2017
In California—and in Ventura County especially—most vehicles are subject to smog inspection requirements. When your car, truck, SUV or van requires a smog inspection is entirely up to the DMV. It may be as often as every two years for vehicles of certain ages, makes and models. You will know if a smog check is required when you get your annual registration paperwork.
If you have recently moved to California or are planning to move here, know that your vehicle will require a licensed smog check before it can be registered in this state.
The good news is that if you need smog test or any smog-related repairs to make sure your vehicle’s emissions are up to California standards, you can count on the smog inspection and repair experts at Bill’s Quality Auto Care in Simi Valley.
