Thank you for considering our company. Here we have listed some of the top questions that new customers ask us about our company. If you have other questions not answered here, please feel welcome to contact us via email or phone.
The one thing people say they like most about our shop is how we care for them. It’s true, we are caring people first. We care about you and your vehicles. We are sensitive to the inconvenience you experience with auto service and to the costs. We have structured our shop to make your experience as quick, affordable and convenient as possible.
It’s natural for our staff to treat you with respect and kindness. Where other shops may talk down to you, or have some kind of attitude, we don’t do either. We talk to you on your level, and we never talk down to you. We inform you of your choices and help with with the right advice you need.
Yes, we are one of the esteemed AAA Approved Auto Repair facilities. We have been AAA Approved for over 14 years.
Fewer than 5% of all Southern California auto repair shops ever become AAA Approved. This is because of the stringent guidelines of AAA.
AAA demands that their approved shops meet these guidelines so that they can feel confident when referring their members here.
Part of staying qualified as an approved shop, AAA requires that we provide them with hundreds of our actual repair orders. They take them and conduct a survey of actual customers (many are AAA members, many are not).
The results of their surveys have been very strong year after year. Their latest survey gave us a 100% Customer Satisfaction rating.
We will continue to work hard to earn that rating. It means a lot to us.
Generally speaking, our prices for comparable services are about the same as other comparable shops. We are not the cheapest, and we are not the most expensive.
Of course, you can always find a shop that can do some things cheaper. But, a shop that gives you this level of service, dependability and trust is going to be about the same as our shop.
That’s why we try to offer you options for service. We will tell you which items can be delayed for a later time and which ones are more urgent. We provide you with the advice and information you need to make an informed choice — without the pressure you might experience in other shops.
We sure do. Our customer shuttle is very popular and very convenient for you. All you have to do is drive your car into our shop and our friendly driver will shuttle you back home or to the office. When you car’s service is completed, we drive over and pick you back up. It can’t get any easier than that.
Bill’s Quality Auto Care started right here in Simi Valley in 1991.
We first started out in a small industrial unit here in town, but after our customers kept referring their friends and relatives, we needed more room.
We moved to this location in 1997. This facility is state-of-the-art with 12 service bays to serve you faster and better.
The main point is that we are an established and reliable business.
We KNOW you demand that your service to be done right the first time. It is important to us that you drive away feeling safe and have the peace of mind from knowing you won’t be inconvenienced with an unwanted return to our shop.
Here’s how you can know this? In Ventura County, there are over 750 auto repair facilities registered with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs. Only 4 of us are ever given the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (the ASE) “Blue Seal of Excellence Recognized Business” status.
Only the shops with the best credentials and dedication to training and certification qualify for this awarding. We are proud of our high quality staff or service advisors and technicians. We know you’ll rest easy knowing you are good hands at our shop.
A membership benefit at the AAA is referrals to qualified auto repair shops. For AAA to be confident that Bill’s is a qualified, quality auto repair shop, they go through numerous steps. The AAA really wants to make sure they are referring their members to a good shop. Here are some of the things they do to check us out:
Each year we score extremely high in their satisfaction results, many years a perfect 100% Customer Satisfaction!
First, I want to personally thank you for considering my company for auto service. I realize you have many choices today, and I appreciate that you are considering us.
The biggest reason our customers cite their loyalty is because of how we care for them. We genuinely care about you and your vehicles. You will see this immediately when you call or come into our shop. But, there’s much more than that.
YES! We offer a complimentary local shuttle.
Absolutely! We have several charging stations and will recharge your EV upon completion of your services.
We sure do. We have a new state-of-the-art tire balancing machine and can assist you with several tire options and then install them.
We are a full-service auto repair facility so our mechanics are able to perform almost any auto repair or service you might need. Oil changes, wheel alignments, brake repairs, shock/strut replacement, battery replacement, AC repairs, check engine light diagnoses, and much more!
Having your oil changed regularly and your vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic is one of the most important things you can do to increase the life of your car.
Schedule an online appointment, or give us a call. Every car, truck, and SUV is a complex machine with various symptoms for many issues. We will likely need to see your vehicle before making a complete diagnosis.
There are several factors when quoting a price for an oil change, (Number of cylinders, type of oil, vehicle manufacturer), give us a call so we can provide an accurate estimate. We also perform wheel alignments, brake repairs, battery replacement, AC repairs, shock/strut replacement, check engine light diagnoses, and much more!
Most manufacturers recommend that your tires should be rotated every other oil change or every 6000-10,000 miles. Neglecting to rotate tires is a significant cause of premature tire wear.
YES. The failure of a timing belt in many cars can result in major engine damage. The cost of repairing an engine with a broken timing belt is much greater than the cost of a timing belt replacement.
There are many sensors and computerized components that manage your vehicle’s engine performance and emissions. When one fails, the “check engine” light is illuminated. Although your car may seem to run fine, it is important to have the issue addressed to prevent long-term problems.
This is a very serious problem – if your car overheats for too long, you can damage your engine. As soon as possible, find a safe place to pull off the road and shut the engine off! Do not attempt to check the fluid level in the radiator; the hot fluid can cause severe burns. The best thing to do is have your car towed to the nearest, trusted auto repair facility, like us!
For maximum fuel economy and peak engine performance, most manufacturers recommend your spark plugs should be replaced every 30 months or 30,000 miles, unless your vehicle is equipped with 100,000-mile platinum-tipped spark plugs.
To keep your engine free of debris, dust, and dirt, we recommend getting your air filters replaced every 15,000 to 30,000 miles or as recommended in your vehicle’s owner’s manual. We also do oil changes, wheel alignments, brake repairs, battery replacement, AC repairs, shock/strut replacement, check engine light diagnoses, and much more!
